Just about finished

Here are some photos of the progress we've made on the house. I am still searching for our stuff in that huge "black hole" in the basement, but I guess if we don't find it, we'll just have to go shopping! Is that a bad thing????

I am quite partial to the French doors leading in from the living room. We decided that would be an attractive way to close off the kitchen when the dishes are piled high!



This is the view as you step through the doors. It is actually, the "scene of the crime" (the spot where the microwave blew up that started this whole mess). But I think the final results were almost worth it all!

This shows the addition we built onto the kitchen.
The edge of the island marks the spot where the old wall went across.









This living room used to be the TV area.










The former living room is now the music room.

Now we're working on a family room in the basement! Whew......
