Top 5 pet peeves

I was inspired by Ryan's list of Top 5's, so here is a list of my own:

Things people do that irritate me:

1. Shout into their cell phones in public places. If we wanted to be included in your conversation, we'd politely ask to join in. If the airlines ever pass a ruling to allow cell phone usage during flights, I will swear off air travel permanently! I mean it. Can you imagine the pain of being captive in a cabin filled with several hundred people, all chattering on cell phones? It is bad enough that the moment the aircraft pulls into the gate, all the cell phones go on, in unison, and the cacaphony begins. Let's face it, they are not in a "cell phone bubble".





2. Text on cell phone while driving down the freeway! I am not kidding, I was not quick enough to capture this on film, or I'd add a picture of this phenomenon. Jay Leno read a comment from one of these "bubble heads", who said, "What else is there to do while driving?" (give me shelter!)

3. Stand in the doorway of a public place, and gab -- totally oblivious to those around, who are trying to get in or out of the building! duh..... isn't that what doors are for? Go sit down somewhere, or stand in a corner, if you want to have a conversation!

4. Drive up to the parking lot booth, then frantically search for ticket, hand ticket to attendant, then begin searching for wallet! Do these people not know that having ticket and cash in hand, as they approach the exit, will greatly expedite their departure, and thereby, all those who follow after?







5. Talk out loud during a movie! Even loud whispering can be annoying, but far worse is the person who seems to be hard of hearing, and talks in elevated tones throughout the movie! I have nearly given up on going to movie theaters. Let's hear it for Dvd's, in my own home yeah.... or better yet, a private viewing!
